How many matches is a round robin, how many rounds does it take, and will it fit in your session? Set your numbers and find out before you commit the courts.
The time estimate assumes courts turn over immediately. Add roughly 2–3 minutes per round for real-world changeovers, score reporting and stragglers.
Total matches is N × (N − 1) ÷ 2 . Each of the N entrants plays the other N − 1, and every match is counted twice that way — hence the divide by two. Rounds is N − 1 when N is even and N when it is odd, because an odd field needs one bye per round.
