Pickleball club software: what clubs actually need

"Club software" isn't one product — it's a stack of five jobs. Get the layers right and a small club can run beautifully on free tools; get them wrong and you'll pay for features no one uses.

The five layers of a club stack

Stacks by club size

What to watch for

Not every club needs all five. A drop-in group needs sessions + discovery. A private facility needs reservations + payments + sessions. A tournament host needs bracket software on top.

A group chat for RSVPs + Pickle IQ for the session. Free. That's the whole stack.

Pickleheads or Meetup for discovery + a light facility tool (CourtReserve free tier) + Pickle IQ for open play and ladder nights.

CourtReserve or Playtime Scheduler for reservations, dues, and door access + Pickle IQ for the actual play (their built-in "sessions" are queue lists, not fair game generation).

Plan2Play or a full club management platform for the business side; still use a dedicated session tool on court.
