The word that matters most is universal . A 3.7 in one city means the same thing as a 3.7 in another, because everyone is measured on the same scale by the same algorithm. That is the whole point: it replaces the club-by-club drift where one venue's 3.5 is another venue's 4.0.

Every time a result is submitted, the algorithm does three things:
